Each year, MountainWest Capital Network (MWCN) recognizes a Utah business executive who has built a successful Utah-based company, inspiring others to participate in the risks and rewards of entrepreneurship. The MWCN Entrepreneur of the Year Award is unique because it celebrates those that give back to the state.

Marley Juarez grew up in Southern California and moved to Utah during elementary school. She earned her undergraduate degrees from the University of Utah and her Master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston. In 2019, while still in graduate school, Marley co-founded Strides Pediatric Therapy in Eagle Mountain, Utah, a multidisciplinary clinic providing physical, occupational, speech, mental health, and recreational therapy for children ages 0–21 with a wide range of needs.
Strides opened its doors in March 2020—just as the pandemic began. Through creative marketing pivots and bold operational adjustments, the clinic not only survived but thrived. Today, Strides has grown to 31 employees and serves more than 400 appointments each week.
During this Business Forum, Marley will share why the marketing strategy of setting yourself apart from your competitors is so important, and no easy feat. In her keynote, Maryley will go over the ways that she set Strides Pediatric Therapy apart from other therapy providers and ways that they became a “category of one”.
