Annual Utah 100 Ranks Fastest Growing Companies at Awards Program

SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. XX, 2008—Interbank FX (www.ibfx.com) was ranked the 2008 fastest growing company in Utah by MountainWest Capital Network (MWCN) (www.mwcn.org) at the 14^th annual Utah 100 Awards Program Friday. The annual program recognizes the 100 fastest growing Utah companies, the 15 Top Revenue Growth companies, and 13 “Emerging Elite” companies. Zions Bancorporation (NASDAQ:Zion) (www.zionsbancorporation.com) was the top revenue growth company in 2008.

The 100 fastest growing companies in Utah are selected from thousands of eligible applicants throughout the state and represent a cross-section from all industries including those in information technology, biomedical, biotechnical, healthcare, retail, construction and financial services.

"The companies receiving awards at the 2008 luncheon have displayed the entrepreneurial spirit that is alive and thriving in our business communities,” said Steven Stauffer, Chairman of the Utah 100 Program and an MWCN officer. “All 100 companies receiving awards at the 2008 luncheon had at least 170 percent growth over the past five years—an amazing accomplishment."

In addition to the fastest growing companies and top revenue companies, MWCN recognizes companies who don’t meet the qualifications for the Utah 100, yet show great promise for future growth and success—the Emerging Elite. This year, MWCN recognized 13 Utah Emerging Elite companies. (See list below.)

To be eligible for consideration in the Utah 100 fastest growing company category, a company must be a U.S. organization based in Utah, have a reported minimum revenue of $50,000 in the base year of 2003, and have five years of operating history.

Rankings were based on revenue growth from 2003-2007 for each company. The compilation and ranking of the Utah 100 is determined solely by MWCN on information provided by each company through an application process. There is no independent inquiry, verification or audit of the information.
